In case you haven’t seen me before, this is me!  Thank you for stopping into my blog!

Welcome to the New Year!

We have officially rolled over into the new year.  Some of you may be super excited about that and other may feel like it’s just another day.  I am excited about the new year; however, I know I have a lot of work ahead of me.  As I enter into the new year, I will be starting two new graduate school courses which will take up a lot of my time.  Due to this, I will only be taking a maximum of 8 regular sessions a month.  There will be some mini session dates thrown in there sporadically as well.

Some have asked what I’m majoring in or why I’m going to graduate school.  I am majoring in Integrated Marketing Communications through WVU.  I am going to graduate school for a few reasons, to help my own business, to possibly become an adjunct professor, and eventually to mentor other photographers.  I feel that having my masters in marketing will allow me to offer more to those who I mentor.  Getting my degree does not mean that I plan on quitting photography anytime soon.

I am also adding in glamour portraits as a way for me to stretch my wings a little bit.  I will absolutely still be working with babies so no worries there!!!  When you do something over and over again, you start to get like everyone else and as you know from looking at my portfolio, I like to do things a little differently.  Stepping outside of my box helps get my creativity going and that helps me be a better photographer all the way around.

Mini session dates I know so far are:

Boudoir mini sessions January 28th
Valentine’s Day February 3rd
Easter March 10th

I hope everyone is staying warm!  It actually got to 24 degrees here today after being -6 degrees this morning when I woke up.  I am ready for it to at least hit the 30’s so I can go for a walk.

If you would like to book a session please visit my CONTACT page.
